FAQ

the most frequently asked questions

What are your soaps made from?

The base soap recipe consists mainly of olive oil, coconut oil, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil and cocoa butter. Any additional ingredients such as other oils, herbs, colourants and others are clearly listed in both the online description and the physical label of each product.

We never use palm oil!

All our soaps are vegan friendly!

And none of them were tested on animals!

Why are hot process soaps different?

Hot process is the only technique with the necessary control over the saponification process, to save all the best benefits a bar of soap can provide. Only about 5% of soap makers use this old fashioned technique. It requires more knowledge, more time, but we still keep on choosing it, because of how your skin feels after a shower with our soaps!
Hot process method mixes oils and lye to create soap. The main difference from other techniques is that hot process allows to preserve the benefits of the natural ingredients because the process of saponification takes place before we add all the most precious, nourishing and skin loving ingredients to the soap.
After mixing all the ingredients and putting it in a mold, Hot Process soap is ready to be used. It only needs a day to cool down and dry to become a skincare bar full of benefits for the skin. With other techniques the chemical reaction takes place for weeks, giving little or no chance for the natural ingredients to stay intact.

Are your soaps safe?

To legally sell soap and any other cosmetics in the UK there are a strict set of rules, regulations and guidelines to be followed. All recipes must be assessed to ensure they don't contain any harmful ingredients.
We went through all of the required process to make sure everything is in order, and tested the soaps on ourselves for many months. Rest assured our soaps are indeed safe.

What do you use for packaging?

Only eco-friendly materials. All of our packaging is recycled, plastic free and recyclable!

How can I make my soap last longer?

Any soap will last longer if you take care of it.
Before use store it in a cool, dark, and dry place.
Once you start using your soap make sure it isn't left sitting in water or in the shower spray. The easiest way to avoid this is by using a soap dish with drainage holes to allow water to drain away and let the air circulate around the bar, or by using a soap saver bag.

Do you make wedding/party favours or sell wholesale to other stores?

I'd be more than happy to discuss these matters in more detail. Please get in touch!
